Everything you need to know about PayDash.
PayDash is an all-in-one platform for Canadian service businesses: a business website with online booking built in, deposits, invoicing with GST/HST/PST/QST, card payments, SMS and email reminders, and a client list — in one account instead of five apps.
Yes. Every new account starts with a 30-day free trial of the Professional plan, and no credit card is required to start.
Yes. Your business website is free forever on a yourname.paydash.ca address — services, prices, photos, reviews, hours and contact details. It stays live and editable after the 30-day trial with no plan. Online booking, deposits, invoicing, payments and SMS reminders need a paid plan.
PayDash applies the right sales tax for your province automatically: GST (5%) in Alberta and the territories, HST (13% in Ontario, 14% in Nova Scotia, 15% in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and PEI), GST + PST in BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and GST + QST in Quebec. Each tax is calculated on the subtotal separately, never tax on tax.
Clients can pay by credit card, debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, through a payment link, straight from the invoice email, or in person on a card reader. Card payments are processed by Stripe and paid out to your bank account.
3.3% + $0.90 per payment on Canadian cards — Visa, Mastercard and Amex, credit or debit, online or in person, plus Interac debit on a card reader — and 4.3% + $0.90 on cards issued outside Canada. Stripe's processing fee is included, the rate is the same on every plan, and it's deducted automatically before the payout to your bank.
No. Every PayDash account includes a business website with booking built in, on a free yourname.paydash.ca address. You pick a design, add your services and photos, and publish.
PayDash texts clients booking confirmations and reminders only after they opt in, which is the express consent CASL requires, and every client can reply STOP to opt out. Each plan includes a monthly SMS allowance that resets on the 1st.
Texts pause until your allowance resets — you are never billed a surprise overage. If you need more, you can buy extra SMS packs (50, 100, 200, 500, 1000 messages) at $0.05 per message, valid for 6 months. Email notifications keep working either way.
Yes. PayDash works in any phone browser and can be installed on your home screen like an app, with no app store download.
PayDash is built for Canadian businesses and works in Canadian dollars. Clients with cards issued outside Canada can still pay you; those card payments cost 4.3% + $0.90 instead of 3.3% + $0.90.
Yes. Your website includes a client portal where clients sign in with a one-time code or link sent to their email, or with Google, to see their bookings, pay invoices, and reschedule or cancel within your policy.
PayDash is built for appointment-based service businesses — auto detailers and car washes, salons and barbers, cleaners, pet groomers, tattoo artists, trainers, tutors, trades and more. You start with services and client fields for your type of business, and custom fields cover anything else.
Yes. There are no contracts; you can cancel from your billing settings at any time. Your website stays live for free, and your other data stays available to view.
