Short answer: for a solo or small mobile detailing business in Canada, the booking app that fits best is the one that takes a deposit when the client books, sends reminders on its own, and lets you invoice with GST on the spot. Square Appointments is the best free option, Jobber suits crews doing quote-heavy commercial work, Urable suits shops doing PPF, tint and coatings with a team, and PayDash — our product — is built for solo and small mobile detailers who want booking, deposits, invoicing and a website in one place, priced in Canadian dollars.

What a mobile detailer actually needs from a booking app
Most detailing booking apps look alike on a feature list. These are the things that decide whether one works for a mobile business:
- A deposit at booking. Detailing slots are long, and a no-show costs you most of a day. A deposit taken while the client books is the single best defence. We wrote up how to set one up and word the policy.
- Reminders that send themselves. A text the day before and again shortly before catches the clients who simply forgot.
- Photos before you quote. Asking for photos of the vehicle at booking stops you driving out to a job that's twice the work you priced.
- Buffer time between jobs. You're driving between driveways; the calendar has to know that.
- GST on the invoice. Commercial customers expect your GST number and the tax shown separately. See GST for mobile detailers in Alberta.
- A page to send people to. Most detailers live in an Instagram bio. A booking page, or better a website with booking built in, closes more of those enquiries than DMs do.
PayDash
PayDash is built for small Canadian service businesses, and mobile detailing is the first industry we built it around. Clients book from your real availability, pay a deposit to confirm, can upload photos and answer your questions when they book, and get a confirmation plus reminders by email and text. Invoices apply GST (or HST, PST and QST in other provinces) and carry your registration number and a pay-now link. Each client keeps their vehicle details and history.
- Pricing: $19, $49 and $99 CAD a month; every plan has every feature, plans differ by limits. 30-day free trial, no credit card. The business website stays free even without a plan.
- Card fees: 3.3% + $0.90 on Canadian cards, online or in person, Stripe's processing fee included; 4.3% + $0.90 on cards issued outside Canada.
- Worth knowing: no quote documents or crew dispatch — if that's your business, look at Jobber.

Square Appointments
Square Appointments is the strongest free option in Canada. Its free plan includes a booking site, text and email reminders, and prepayments and no-show fees through a card on file. Paid plans (Plus at $35 and Premium at $85 CAD a month per location) add things like multiple locations and Google Calendar sync.
- Card fees: 2.8% + 30¢ online, 2.5% for in-person credit cards and 0.75% + 7¢ for debit — lower than PayDash.
- Best for: detailers who want to pay nothing monthly and already like Square's hardware and point of sale.
Jobber
Jobber is field-service software built around quotes, job scheduling, and map-based routing and dispatch for teams. Online booking, invoicing, online payments and a website are on its Core plan; automated client reminders start on its Connect plan. Prices are listed in US dollars, with a 14-day free trial.
- Best for: detailing businesses running crews, quoting most jobs, or doing a lot of fleet and commercial work — the kind we describe in fleet detailing in Red Deer and central Alberta.
Urable
Urable is built for auto detailing, paint protection film, window tint and similar shops. Its plans (Express, Pro and Enterprise) all include unlimited users, invoicing and payments, and SMS reminders; online booking, automated deposits and a booking page start on the Pro plan, listed at $110 a month.
- Best for: established shops with a team doing PPF, tint and coatings alongside detailing.
How to choose
- Just starting out, working alone, mostly retail clients: you want deposits and reminders without a big monthly bill. Square's free plan or PayDash's Starter plan.
- Want one place for booking, invoices and a website, priced in CAD: PayDash.
- Running crews or quoting most work: Jobber.
- A shop with PPF and tint bays and a team: Urable.
Whatever you pick, turn on deposits for your long services first. That one setting pays for any of these apps faster than anything else on the list.
